Singing Telegram Questions:
What is a singing telegram?
For starters, it’s much more than someone showing up and singing a song. Each performance is customized specifically for the occasion, generally lasts 10-15 minutes and includes one or two songs delivered by a costumed entertainer. It’s designed to amuse, embarrass or surprise the recipient. We include as much personal information as possible, depending on what you tell us at the time of your call. The recipient gets a party hat and horn, plus balloons or other optional extras.
Where do you deliver?
Just about anyplace… home, office, restaurant, hospital, hotel, school. However, if you are scheduling a telegram at an office, we suggest you call someone there to make sure it’s OK. We go anywhere in the Twin Cities Metro area and up to 2 hours or more away by car, if we have someone available.
Can I make an appointment for a specific time?
Yes, and your messenger will generally arrive within 15 minutes of their appointment. In the highly unlikely event that there is a delay or other problem, they will have your contingency phone number to keep you informed.
Can I deliver a singing telegram to a party with children present?
Our performances may embarrass the recipient, but are always fun and appropriate for guests of all ages. Our telegrams are all rated PG. Our performers are great at improv so they know how to read a situation and an audience to maximize fun. We do not employ strippers or other sexually explicit entertainers.
How much advance notice do you need?
It certainly helps to know your plans ahead of time, but we can often schedule telegrams the same day, if necessary.
What about cancellation?
Orders must be canceled 24 hours in advance, you’ll be charged full price. However, we will allow you to reschedule within two weeks for just a $25 rescheduling charge. If the recipient is a no show the full price will be charged.
Flamingos and Lawn Events Questions
How do you create a lawn event without alerting the recipient?
Our professionals have lots of experience and arrive after midnight, when everyone is sleeping. They are quiet and quick. Please let us know about their nighttime habits to help us surprise him or her more effectively.
What happens if you get caught?
It happens extremely infrequently, but our staff is trained to assess the situation, act politely and to try to keep the secret intact. Even if the intended recipient catches them, he or she just gets his or her surprise a little earlier than expected.
When do you pick up?
The scene stays for an entire day and is picked up the next night.
Advance notice and cancellation?
Must be canceled by noon the day of, friday if it is for the weekend. If order is placed and no one is around to see it full price will still be charged.
